@Jackaloftheazuresand great question I will look more into the study’s exact methods & procedure how it was conducted. I think it was about political party affiliation of those that committed violent crimes. I’ll get back to you

@Roundandroundwego to address an issue (alleviate it) we must understand all components of the issue prior to proposing any remedies. Now we know who is committing the violence next we attempt to determine motivation of those actors. It’s a process to be rationally conducted carefully measured and steadily adjusted. Until harm is minimized and eventually eliminated to allow for constructive outcomes/future benefits
Some call it the scientific method applied to society/ human behavior
