Camp Mystic was literally built in a dried river bed.

I cry for those affected by the disaster. I agree there are many questions about both developing the area for homes and the camp. There have been previous serious floods over the decades.
in then 1800 century lots of settler headed west. camped in riverbeds to get out of the wind, got trapped in floods, stars still shining,

What? The Guadalupe was named in 1689. It has been home to humans for several thousand years. It’s a river not a dried river bed.

It was going to happen at some point
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@smileylovesgaming sadly, and all it would have taken was some serious planning and funding. As usual it was a matter of money. Tell that to the 100 plus families now affected!

I sincerely just want to ask a disturbing question. Is it white-christian-only camp site ?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@dubum that is white the media first said.

You reap what you sow, sadly.
