Los Angeles Times Owner Fires Far-Left Editorial Board

The billionaire newspaper owner emphasized in his tweet over the weekend the importance of "fair and balanced" journalism in light of President-elect Donald Trump's win over Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. "When the president has won the vote of the majority of Americans, then all voices must be heard," he wrote.

He further indicated his newspaper will monitor coverage that appears slanted left.

I think that Patrick Soon-Shiong, and Bezos saw the writing on the wall and decided to go back to actual journalism to save their companies.

@BizSuitStacy We'll see. Color me skeptical.
@eli1601 EO 13848 is still active. Read section 2. I think this is what they're afraid of.

When the scales tip its incredible how they start to roll to the other side.
But once you have seen the face hiding under the mask, that is something you should never forget.

I'm not buying for a minute that he has any interest in being fair and impartial. Now that the election is over, and the propaganda failed to put another Commie in the White House, he's thinking about his own bottom line.

Good for him!

Thank God. Even if the owner is doing this for a wider readership and really only cares about the bottom line, biased journalism is killing this country.

The paper, along with others like it,are being abandoned by millions who now realize it's a
vehicle for left wing propaganda .It's just a desperate play to appear to switch to becoming fair in their coverage ,which I rather suspect won't work.

There is some real hope and change

Hmm could it be?

I see times like this as a good way to find out who people really are.
Then I adjust my investments and loyalties accordingly.
Americans know that billionaires buy their news outlets but that's not a problem for them! Let them rot.
