Absolutely! Anything they tell us, I trust is a lie.
JustDJ76 · 46-50, M
@BizSuitStacy That is true
Adrift · 61-69, F
I used to have friends from other countries tell me that we weren't as well educated on whats happening around the world as we think we are.
That the media only reports what it wants us to know.

@BizSuitStacy But they are called “conspiracy theorists” to try and discredit them.
Patriot96 · 56-60, C
Msm been lying to us since bathhouse Barry was coronated
JustDJ76 · 46-50, M
@Patriot96 I personally think it started with George W Bush.
Yes, for the most part. I am aware that different media outlets have different political leanings and they are usually explicit about this in the UK. It is well known which outlets lean which ways. So you can expect certain viewpoints from certain outlets but you have the freedom of choice and can find a reasonable balance. The cases where the media have printed stories which were proven to be false have been in the minority. What has been more prevalent an issue here is the underhand and sometimes illegal methods used by the tabloid press to get certain stories.

I would definitely trust the mainstream media much more than some internet conspiracy peddling website that lacks the resources and the access to get to the bottom of legitimate news stories.
Patriot96 · 56-60, C
@FishBotDimwit here in US the msm peddled the Russia collusion with irrefutable evidence for 4 years
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
Not in the least. And its only getting worse. How long did the media lie about Biden's mental faculties?

Now they just want to move on and pretend none of that happened.
US news has become mostly opinion shows. Very little verifiable fact checking going on any more.
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
They are politically polarized and biased.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
I don't and it's sad.
I watch BBC America,sometimes.
graphite · 61-69, M
Most of the "news" media, Hollywood, Big Tech, corporations, do nothing but kiss the bottoms of Democrats.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
Is the sky chartreuse?
Nimbus · M
Only the Daily Mirror.
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
It's bought and paid for by the elite. They control what they want the public to hear, read and see

Just like they control The Government, The Oil, Precious Metals and the house you think you own.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
"The media" is a meaningless phrase. It's not a monolithic institution. There are thousands of various outlets, and each of those outlets has multiple individuals.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@DunningKruger No, it isn't. We all know when we say "the media", we are talking about the large news institutions like CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, etc.

That's your cope, so you don't have to answer to the fact that the media is a homogeneous monolith, promoting neoliberal, left leaning, Democrat propaganda.

It's all just bias... one way or the other.

Yes Prime Minister answers this question [media=https://youtu.be/DGscoaUWW2M?si=myxL4DKAIFwayNEs]
There's no way this could be a simple yes or no. Not all media are created equal and the reasons why I might (mis)trust certain media over others can be very different
