The state of Alabama has executed an inmate by making him inhale nitrogen gas until he suffocated to death. This is a new execution method 🇺🇸

Absolutely hideous. The whole process took 25 minutes and the prisoner was in visible distress. A previous attempt to execute him by lethal injection over a year ago failed when they were unable to raise a vein before the warrant expired. The USA is obsessed with firearms . . if a state feels the need to kill one of its citizens at all, why not by firing squad? At least that would be practically instantaneous if done competently. As if execution isn't punishment enough, torture has been added to the mix.
