i just saw this headline by forbes news '' Feds File Landmark Suit Against Amazon For Protecting Online Retail Monopoly ''

i shop at amazon online a lot, and are concerned about this, i wouldn't want amazon to be put out of business...can amazon survive this?

It'll probably end up being like AT&T. They'll force Amazon to break up into smaller companies, or allow more companies to move in to the same market.

@LordShadowfire Only if it can be proven it's practices restrict trade.
Which of course they obviously do given that all their own warehouses are now automated.

Problem is when you hand over responsibility for things like high street shopping or mass licences for certain fast food restaurants to shall we say 'morally questionable business people', you lose the independents.
And without them you're at the mercy of conglomerates
