What do you think of Ramaswamy’s Ten Truths

God is real.
There are only two genders.
Human flourishing requires fossil fuels.
Reverse racism is racism.
An open border is no border.
Parents determine the education of their children.
The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind.
Capitalism lifts people from poverty.
There are three branches of government, not four.
The U.S. Constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedoms in history.
Gloomy · F
1. There is no God
2. Gender is a construct and an active expression while sex is based on biological markers. Gender identity also has a grounding in biology via brain structuring
3. Fossil fuels are finite and are damaging our climate so we need alternatives
4. Racism is racism but power hierarchies should always be kept in mind
5. Securing the border via violent means is not a solution. Open borders are a right wing talking point
6. Parents should not control their childrens education
7. There are more family types than just the nuclear family all equally worth of protection and support
8. Capitalism is an exploitative economic and societal system that turns everything even human relations into commodities and doesn’t support people with potential
9. \
10. The US constitution is an historic document that should not have such a strong grip on current politics and it doesn't guarantee freedom at all.

No one is suggesting individual curriculums for each student and you know that. However the government imposing a curriculum that is get top secret from parents is a HUGE problem. Perhaps that might even by why it’s being kept top secret. You think? I suppose you feel fully qualified to write a curriculum you approve in a vacuum for all students? Tell you what. You my send no more than two of your cats over and it will housing them and provide them with a curriculum. @Gloomy

Is that what you call a Debbie Downer / Negative Nellie? @exchrist
ServantOfTheGoddess · 61-69, M
Sounds like the typical bromides of the current right wing. It is really too bad that a person of colour has been sucked in to believing them (presumably) and representing them.

Also, yeah, yeah, people are uncomfortable about trans people and nonbinary people and so on, but how the fuck did "there are only two genders" become next in importance to believing in God?? Something is seriously twisted up here.
ServantOfTheGoddess · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson Now you're just being obnoxious for no reason. This does not make whatever perspective you are representing look good.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Exposing you is an excellent reason. From every perspective you don’t look good. @ServantOfTheGoddess

@jackjjackson You think CNN doesn't want him going off on DeSuckass and Ramaslimey? Why not?

The ten truths sound pretty good.
I was thinking about supporting him, but I’m not now for the simple fact he is not a Christian. He is Muslim or something and believes in a different God. I have a suspicion that some if not all of his truths were just to pick up votes.

Disclaimer
I vote for people with similar values as me. That’s just a personal preference.
A must is the candidate must be a Christian.
I know some don’t believe in the Christian faith for different reasons.
THIS COMMENT DOES NOT MEAN I WANT TO DISCUSS OR DEBATE ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN FAITH or the preferences I have or the way I vote. What you believe and the way you vote is not to be argued either.
This comment was meant to be a statement no evidence being presented.
God is real.
OK, which god?

Ra? Osiris? Horus?
Manitou? Tsohanoai?
Fujin? Amaterasu-Ōmikami?
Shangdi? Zhongli Quan?
Odin? Frigg? Thor?
Zeus? Hera? Apollo? Artemis?

What you & Ramaswamy mean to say is that all the gods I've just named, and thousands more, are fake. But. The Abrahamic god, you claim, is real. And that begs two questions:

(1) How do you know all the other gods are fake?
(2) Why doesn't that same reasoning apply to your god??

P.S. For the sake of argument, let's assume that, for each god listed and thousands of others, there have been people at various places and times who sincerely believe they have had personal experiences of their god's reality, prayers answered, communications replied to, etc. etc. In other words, for all gods, there are sets of honest sincere believers.

You finally found a candidate that seems to be on the right track, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Congratulations on finally breaking free from the David Muir establishment world of globalist propaganda.

VR promotes school vouchers and a citizen test requirement to vote. He also believes in individualism and not collectivism.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
What do you think of the age 22 voting requirement? No need to throw the insults pal. I often support what you post @therighttothink50
therighttothink50 · 56-60, M
it should be raised to 25 with a waiver to all those in military age 18 or over.

.@jackjjackson
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Why? Should there be a top end where people are aged out of voting eligibility? I certainly think there should be one for the President, etc. @therighttothink50
carpediem · 61-69, M
He's on the right track, if you're an American who loves his/her country. Pretty simple really.
Musicman · 61-69, M
I definitely agree for the most part.
I am with him most of the way. At least he is on the right track.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
Didn't you figure out when he said: "God is Real", that he was just going to tell you stuff that you want to hear?

He doesn't understand gender either... just like the people that he's pampering too.

Too a degree, yes... but again, pampering to what he wants to make his voter base.

"Open borders" are a non-issue.... pampering to people that obsess about "non-issues"

I hope not... that would mean that the average student would end up as ignorant as their parents are. While education is there to push people to a new level. Espescially when they come from a home where the parents didn't have the capacity, money or time to study anything. Or are hooked on make believe... you know, like the people that he's pampering too.

The nuclear family should not be governement policy at all. Governement should stay out of peoples relationships as much as humanly possible.

Capitalism also pushes people in poverty... so yeah. 🤷‍♂️ The coin really has two sides.

Between 2016 and 2020, the republican party could care less. And even today, there is a constant attack from republicans in the legeslative branch on the judicial branch and the executive branch. Even when they are just doing their jobs 🤷‍♂️ He's right... but his followers wouldn't know what to do with it.

The US constitution is only a piece of paper, if the 3 branches of governement don't protect it and the people don't respect it. That was also very clear from 2016-2020 experience. And with the so called "originalists" on the court, it will be an issue for freedom for a long time.
acpguy · C
I really do like the guy but fat chance we can get an honest person elected due to professional politicians and very stupid people voting.
SW-User
If I was American I'd agree with all these points, they need to restore the image and values of USA
Can we really call them "truths" if even he doesn't believe them? Dude is an obvi grifter.

Anti-white racism is racism, though, so that's his broken clock moment.
@jackjjackson How drunk are you?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Very mature douchebag @BohemianBoo
@jackjjackson You gonna cry?
SW-User
most of the above is true, and I'd say #6 particularly resonates with me.

However, I question him...he believes in himself too much and presents as overconfident, too ambitious, and not very realistic. When one person is trying to unite a country alone or according to how they feel or think, it usually has negative consequences.
@SW-User He came out of nowhere and is gaining steam with his charismatic ways, it makes me very suspicious of what his true agenda is, specially with his sky daddy and jeebus talk.

He's not wrong on much
MrGoodVibes · 36-40, M
I agree with him.
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
I presume he is attempting to get elected by Republicans. As for the 'truths' some are self evident but misleading, others are total bollocks, one or two are in between.
ShadowWorker · 61-69, F
Theyitis · 36-40, M
Mostly bullshit. Don’t have time now to explain why.

Many points are debatable, instead of just making an opinion before understanding the all aspects.

I hope he is open for debates. And that will only decide how he moves ahead.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
One would think the others will go after him on this stuff tomorrow at the debate when they’re not Trump bashing? @ABCDEF7
ABCDEF7 · M
@jackjjackson Right way to consider is not against someone, it's about how the candidate conceive and handles the issues.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M

I’m sure it’s very appealing to Republicans, but is a bit simplistic for me. Kinda heavy on the culture war stuff, and wish we could transition away from fossil fuels without the traditional left wing right wing extremes.
LucyFuhr · 56-60, F
I think those "truths" are probably going to get him cancelled or assassinated 😅

He needs to prove there is a God. The burden of proof is upon the claimant.
