{@jackjackson] do you realise these people are original americans who where around centuries before christopher columbus .they feel aggrieved by this it is sort of an identity to original people of the country
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@smiler2012 Actually they don't. The Washington Redskins were the most popular team among native Americans. Surveys also showed that they didn't want the name changed because they understood that the name and logo was a sign of respect.

That logo is based on a real person. If you knew the story behind the name and logo you'd change your mind.

Virtue Signaling white people forced the name change and not Native Americans.

@smiler2012 Quiet 'tard - Redskins it is!

@HoraceGreenley the man's right!
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Slade actually as usual you have it totally wrong i agree they should leave it as they are part of the originaL those with actual real americans origin not those who explored and colonised the country
Slade · 56-60, M
@smiler2012 Real Americans beat the savages. They were too busy guzzling firewater and collecting scalps
originnone · 61-69, M
@Slade True, but they were probably all starving....
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Slade typical the people of the united states discovered by the exploration of the united states by christoher columbus are the real americans . they only became savages as you show you usual ignorance becase of being colonised and the original americans treated unfairly driven from there reservations and hunting grounds that they must of had hundred of years before white man steped on american soil
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@smiler2012
Before we go down the road of the Noble Savage, let's remember that Native Americans engaged in warfare and cannibalism before the Europeans showed up.

As had been done all through human history, when a more technologically advanced society encountered a less advanced one, the less advanced one was obliterated.

Until fairly recently, no one thought that was a bad thing.
Slade · 56-60, M
@smiler2012 virtue signal harder Cletus. Maybe your twink will dress as a noble savage on COLUMBUS Day
Slade · 56-60, M
@smiler2012

All you need is the sash and the crown

smiler2012 · 56-60
@HoraceGreenley well actally it was not me who referred them as savages
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Slade 🤷‍♂️what the hell are you talking about
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Slade well i see you are showing your usual racial and ethnic intolerance 🤷‍♂️no surprise the i guess
specman · 51-55, M
@smiler2012 are you referencing that the white man was all powerful and made all the wrongs in the world?
smiler2012 · 56-60
@specman well lets look at the topic we are talking about rather than making a generalisation . the native americans as that is what they are in all intent and purpose where given a raw deal by the the white man kicked off there reservation and hunting ground that they have had centuries before explores came for of the benefit of the railroad and gold
specman · 51-55, M
It was the way war works out. The winner takes all! All the blame endured today is based on society thoughts of today’s world. @smiler2012
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@smiler2012 Most American Indians didn't become Americans until 1924. Lots of them couldn't vote until 1957. They are not native Americans. Strictly speaking, only a small percentage of White Americans who can trace their ancestry back to the founding of American can properly be called "Native Americans." All other ethnic groups are not "Native Americans".

Slade · 56-60, M
@Diotrephes Everyone here migrated from somewhere else
Slade · 56-60, M
@smiler2012 cope harder
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Slade
Everyone here migrated from somewhere else
That's not a true statement. The accurate statement is that everyone's distant ancestors came from somewhere else. Of course, some people have just stepped across the border. But that is true for all countries in the Western Hemisphere.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Mr Slade does have a point. Even so called Native Americans crossed the “land bridge” that existed at the time to get here. @Diotrephes
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@smiler2012 i know you didn't say "savages." I was using the term to make a point.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
When it comes to colonization and abuse of indigenous folks no one has done it better than the UK. Dare you to try to prove THAT not accurate. @smiler2012
