Man Shoots Naked Woman Who Broke Into His House

A naked woman barged into a home in Austinville, Virginia, on February 26 and repeatedly hit the male homeowner with a frying pan.

The suspect has been identified as Paula Michelle Locklear, 35.

The house’s owner, whose identity is being withheld to protect his privacy, investigated the noise he heard from the back of his house, according to reports. He discovered a naked woman who had entered his house through the back door. He stated that he had never met the woman before.

The suspect then began hitting the man with a cast iron frying pan in the head and on his hand.

Before attempting to secure his home, the homeowner attempted to remove the intruder. Locklear then continued to inflict damage on the back porch. She tripped the house’s breakers and smashed the kitchen windows and the door. She also threatened to kill the man unless he left “her” house.

The homeowner had had enough and pulled out his gun, shooting Locklear in the leg.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office arrived to find Locklear with a gunshot wound. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment by emergency personnel.

Because investigators determined that the homeowner acted in self-defense, he was not charged with a crime.

Locklear was arrested and held without bond at the Carroll County jail pending her arraignment. She is charged with felony armed breaking and entering, assault and battery, and intentional property damage.
