NYTimes reported Republicans are attavking Librarians now because of book bans.

With all of the voter restriction laws that the GOP passed, the voters won't be picking the politicians anymore. Now the politicians will be picking the voters.

I wouldn't expect much more from "free speech/small government" Republicans, attacking librarians and libraries for having books with LGBT characters, among other things. Now they're going after librarians who use the word "abortion" in answering reference questions.

On one hand, I kind of revel in the right showing their true, anti-free speech colors, but on the other, it's dystopian where they're heading.

It's stuff like this that makes me get irritated with the left for not having their shit together and allowing righoids to get into office

Typical of the fallen New York Times these days, the article is intentionally misleading and supportive of exposing children to inappropriate sex-related materials.

By only using the generic "librarians" they fail to mention the parents (not necessarily "Republicans" as you say) object to those materials placed in school libraries for their little kids to find, not at public libraries.

The parents have legitimate reason for concern.

All those health care workers, policemen, firefighters, teachers, airline workers, and soldiers fired by the faciests demand to get a worthless kung flu shot, perhaps?

Librarians who only stock the Bible on their shelves and organise the weekly book burnings.
