Texas hospitals are putting pregnant patients at risk by denying care out of fear of abortion laws

The harm is immediate.

“ Medical professionals across the state have expressed confusion over what care they can provide amid Texas’ abortion ban, leading to some patients allegedly receiving delayed care or being turned away.”

Women and their fetus will die. The Republicans/Evangelicals don't care. They knew this would happen.
@TexasDude In states where your governor despised Barack Obama and made the ACA as expensive as possible , that may be true. In my state, more people were covered than ever before, and a lot of lives were saved.

The ACA originated with a Republican (Mitt Romney) and was well received in his state, so I’ve no doubt that the only reason it was a problem was because the Republicans felt the need to demonize anything they could associate with Barack Obama, in spite of whatever good might’ve been possible.

Incidentally, the GOP had 7 years plus Trump’s 4 year term to propose something replacing the ACA for the American people—and promised that they would. But so far, nothing.

They destroyed the first comprehensive health care plan our country’s had, leaving many with no coverage.
@TexasDude Wrong. The so-called "pro-life" don’t adopt or foster in any higher numbers than anyone else.
@TexasDude You are saying the law in Texas is wrong. They should not be turning pregnant Women with complications away but you are voting for the people who will enforce the the law. Right now Doctors in Texas don't know which law to follow 1925, 2021 or the trigger law that bans abortions outright. You are voting for the people who left Doctors in the dark.

It's all good being against abortion (I am too). But this such a f--king awful way of putting that into action in law. it's actually evil
A good doc should carry a gun and shoot people trying to interfere with them caring for their patients. It is Texas after all. And that would be a good guy with a gun. Oh what is that? Not everybody wants to be a murderer? *surprised pikachu face*

States with restrictive abortion laws are in danger of losing doctors.

Welcome to GOPlandia.
Okay! There's a war on cannabis, there too! Nothing you can do -. Conservatives rule.
Nobody said it was going to be good! This is war. Civil war, until the last lib is Poned dead.
So basically they’ll end up causing someone who wants a baby but is having a difficult pregnancy to miscarry. All because hospital staff is walking on pins and needles trying to accommodate Texas’ stupid new guidelines. Brilliant. 🙄
Was we ever really aiming at good health?
