Was only a matter of time before Trump began throwing supporters under the bus

Trump released Bannon from the privilege in a Saturday letter to Costello, saying: "If you reach an agreement on a time and place for your testimony, I will waive executive privilege for you, which will allow for you to in and testify truthfully and fairly as per the request of the Unselect Committee of political Thugs and Hacks."

Although I wouldn't expect the answer to any relevant question to be other than "The Fifth". But it will get him Steve Bannon out from under the Contempt of Congress charges and an opportunity to repeat the Holy Grail in an opening statement. Was pretty hard for him to claim executive privilege when the White House Counsel managed to find a way to answer the subpoena while honoring both executive privilege and lawyer-client privilege.

Shame you don't have an actual life. No surprise though. I heard that TDS is tough to deal with once it's infected your very soul like it has with you.

Here's an idea. Go fill your car with fuel, then buy groceries. That should make you feel wonderful.

Have no difficulty doing either, even though the Prius is in the shop and having to drive my Corvette around town. (BTW, The Prius is still covered by its 15 YEAR warranty.) Even when I was working, I lived where I worked. Novel concept; far less commute costs & more time being a Dad. Always have shopped rather minimally on food, mostly raw. Product of growing up poor with Depression era parents.

@dancingtongue Happy for you. Shame so many folks out there are struggling due to the Biden Bump in fuel, food, and everything else they need to work and provide for their families. He really screwed everyone over didn’t he? Oh…. Except for you with Prius. 🙄

@carpediem It's all Biden, eh? The choices they made along the way didn't contribute one iota? And Trump bears absolutely no responsibility despite totally mishandling the pandemic, antagonizing most of the rest of the world, and erecting tariff barriers once again? Who suffers from TDS?

@dancingtongue Fortunately I’m financially secure. My only issue is losing hundreds of thousands in the markets. I’m more concerned about others since Biden screwed things up royally. The guy and his presidency are a complete wreck
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
@carpediem Well, he was pretty much handed one to rebuild. And rebuilding is never swift nor easy.
carpediem · 61-69, M
@dancingtongue LOL. Bullshit. He was handed a robust economy recovering from the pandemic. Very low inflation, energy independence, controlled southern border. He ruined all of that. Everything he touched has become a disaster. The guy is the worst president in history. It feels like 1978 only worst.

You’re lost pal.

@carpediem thanks to dumb dumb Biden a lot of people can't do both.
carpediem · 61-69, M
@Baremine And just like this gent, liberals don’t seem to care in the least.

He (Biden) was handed a robust economy recovering from the pandemic. Very low inflation, energy independence, controlled southern border. He ruined all of that.

U.S. Economy Shrank in 2020 Despite Fourth-Quarter Growth
Gross domestic product rose 4.0% in holiday quarter, as economists expect rebound in 2021 once coronavirus pandemic is under control
https://www.wsj.com/articles/us-gdp-economic-growth-fourth-quarter-2020-11611802382 And if you look at the 2021 economy, it is been steady growth and not the chaotic up and down of 2020.

The "energy independence" argument has been debunked many times already here. We were still dependent on the higher grade crude oil coming from the Middle East and elsewhere; the pipeline Biden cancelled was only a shortcut for an existing pipeline and it was for exporting Canadian shale oil to other parts of the world; the oil companies still have more drilling permits than they have ever used.

When has the southern border ever been controlled since JFK ended the bracero program in the early 1960's?

Worldwide inflation was inevitable due to the convulsions in supply and demand created worldwide by the pandemic, and then exacerbated by the Ukrainian war.

Biden ain't perfect, but he wasn't handed a rose garden, and little of what was handed to him is totally in his control.

@dancingtongue Shovel your shit somewhere else. Every free thinking person knows what gas prices were before Biden’s executive orders on day one. Give it a break. And fuel and inflation were on the rise well before the Ukraine war.

You’re just wrong. End of story
