Does this mean that Russian bank cannot foreclose on Trump's loans now?

"That means we've cut off Russia's government from Western financing," Biden said. "It can no longer raise money from the West and cannot trade in its new debt on our markets or the European markets either."

Didn't Deutsche bank have some involvement there too? Chances are they will call in his loan and he won't have anything but assets to liquify. No money will be coming from Russia. Maybe his app?

@Tastyfrzz Deutsche bank is owed a lot by Trump. But they have already announced they will NOT be pursuing the debt. One can speculate about the reasons for that. But no matter what they are, Deutsche Bank will do no further Business with Trump. 😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Wasn't that because the Russian financial institution STP stepped in and essentially underwrote Trump's loan with a huge deposit?

@dancingtongue Yes.. Essentially Deutsche bank brokered the loan to put it at arms length to Trump. But that started a chain of events and transactions that are currently at the centre of the Money laundering/fraud/Tax evasion investingation against the Trump organisation. In the end Deutsche Bank had to surrender all records as part of deal not to face charges themselves and keep their licence to operate in America.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman And are STP and the SEP Russian bank sanctioned by the US today linked?

@dancingtongue I have no idea.. But the Russian bank that Trump did borrow from has a major loan falling due mid year and have already announced their intent to come after the money in the courts. I have to assume the sanctions will effect this.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Ah, that was the loan I was thinking of. So Trump could have good reason for being ecstatic over Putin's actions resulting in financial sanctions.

@dancingtongue Maybe... But.... There is nothing legally to stop a Russian bank selling Trumps paper to a Liberian bank or a Chinese bank for collection. When you consider how Trump fights paying his bills and the connection between Putin and his banks, there are plenty of moves in the board..😷
