Police in Ottawa, Canada begin to dismantle the #FluTrucksKlan

Police Services in Ottawa, Canada have begun to dismantle the #FluTrucksKlan with over 100 arrests being made up to late last night. No surprise that some of the protesters turned violent and attempted to disarm Police, one protester even threw a bicycle at a horse mounted Police Officer, 20+ trucks were also towed away. Did anyone doubt that this would eventually turn violent? Fox Noise talking heads will surely explode and they will soon be demanding the invasion of Canada to save "Freedumb"!

Yup. For all their big talk, the protestors packed up and left when they actually had to start facing consequences.
When it stopped being a party and they realized that the police were actually going to start enforcing the law most of them lost their stomach for "freedom".

@Pikachu What I couldn't believe was how many of them brought their children to something like this. I firmly believe in their right to protest but after the first 48 hours this stopped being a protest and became a siege. Not much about this was about "Freedumb" many of the protesters are far right conspiracy theorists and some white supremacists thrown in too 😖
@spjennifer I'm just glad they've been kicked out and with almost no violence.

@Pikachu Yes, same here, I know quite a few people who live in downtown Ottawa and it was hell for most of them. A disabled friend of mine hasn't been able to leave her condo for 3 weeks as the city couldn't plow the affected areas. Thankfully friends were able to deliver groceries and necessities to her. She told me the sound of the air horns would go on 24 hours a day in the first 10 days or so. The few who assaulted the Police got their due, I hope!
@spjennifer

Yeah i think that's one aspect that the supporters of this "freedom" convoy don't like to think about.
These protestors didn't just disrupt activity for a few days or just irritate people. They robbed people of their freedom. And not for the public health but at the hands of a mob who wanted its demands met.

@Pikachu Yes, "My Freedumbs" matter, everyone else can just go fuck themselves, hoping the Police take down the barricades and checkpoints soon enough so people can get back to some semblance of normalcy. Some of my Canadian Veteran buddies were starting to talk about vigilante stuff if the Police didn't act so I'm glad it's over, for now...
@spjennifer

Yeah i'm really glad this ended with no significant acts of violence on either side. I'm sure they'll want to maintain a presence for a while to make sure they don't try to come right back, but hopefully soon.
