Did you know that the Volcano in La Palma is STILL erupting?

Apparently the SIDE of the volcano has collapsed, and it is releasing a lot more lava. This is for those of you who are concerned about tsunamis.
From what I gather the earthquakes were more the main concern for that massive chunk of the island shearing off and creating a tsunami. Once the volcano erupted, that acted like a pressure relief valve, ending the earthquakes and decreasing the chances that the shearing event could occur.

@Stereoguy Well, yes. It would be. 🧭 😆 I just looked up topographies of that area and I did not know there was anything down here that rose up that high above sea level. For me? Go West, young man! (My favorite Genesis song)

This possibility could happen if a tsunami of catastrophic proportions would occur because of La Palma [youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYyRtkqsV6c]

@Stereoguy I don't think so now. Stratosranger says the earthquakes there were the main concern.
The earthquakes have ceased since the volcano blew. Which means the section of the island that might fall into the ocean has a greatly lesser chance of doing so. Not a guarantee but a Vegas bet you’d likely win. @4meAndyou
