@4meAndyou I’ve seen videos of Cubans who’ve moved here and how they react when they first walk into grocery stores or places like Home Depot. They go nuts with excitement and all of the merchandise and the variety of brands etc. They are little little children in toy stores for the first time.

@cherokeepatti There is a Cuban American on Master Chef, named Alejandro, who came to the USA for the first time at age eight, and that was his age when he ate an apple for the very first time. He says they were VERY food deprived.

Gordon Ramsay has had to caution him NOT to grab every ingredient in the pantry and try to use ALL of it because he is so excited at the variety and wealth of food.

@cherokeepatti Think of the countries that are presently communist or Marxist...and think what it is like. These are countries that trade FREELY with China and Russia...and the people are HUNGRY.

@4meAndyou yes keep them hungry so they can control them. I had a friend from Bulgaria, she was a chemist and had a good job but she had to plant a big garden and can foods to have enough groceries during the winter. She could afford to build a nice home but the price of food was huge apparently.
