So if there was an injectable birth control medication

that if you had it administered you could still get pregnant and therefore should still wear a condom..... Would you get the injection?

I think it'd be doing the opposite of birth control if I, as a cis dude, can get pregnant from taking it. But if it was like a male birth control that reduced pregnancy in women, sure I'd take it once I got into a sexual relationship. Condoms aren't 100% effective and I just have to trust that the woman's taking birth control (which also isn't 100% effective). If she gets pregnant & doesn't do the fetus deletus, I'm gonna be saddled with supporting that child for the rest of my damn life, which is especially bad since getting custody is extremely unlikely for men. Really, I think taking that birth control is just a basic measure to cover my ass.

That said, I'd rather get a vasectomy.

yes lol. thats how regular birthcontrol works. you can still get pregnant and if you want to be 100% you make the guy wear a condom

If I was told before the injection that it wasn't 100% effective, then yes. Obviously. A condom is not 100% effective; nor is birth control. You can still get pregnant despite taking these precautions. Happens all the time.

Same goes for vaccines. No vaccine is 100% effective, hence why some still suffer afterwards. But if the trend is that those who are vaccinated are demonstrably less likely to experience some if any symptoms, then it's doing its job.

A vaccinated 80 year old is still at as much risk as an unvaccinated 50 year old. Age, as well as many other things (i.e. underlying health conditions, diet, fitness) will play a role in how effective a given vaccine is.

It's all about risk, and what precautions you're prepared to take.

There already is an injectable form of birth control. It's called the depo shot. It's supposed prevent pregnancy for up to 3 months. Of course you do have to keep getting the shot as well.

The thing is you can still get pregnant regardless of what method you're using. Even if you're using condoms while it's rare you still could get pregnant. I mean birth control is there and usually is effective, but there's always the percentage who ends up still getting pregnant. You're taking a risk either way.

I mean I recommend the birth controls if you'r for sure you don't want to get pregnant, but some of these medications can mess you up and make it hard for you to get pregnant later on should you change your mind. That's another thing to consider.

Me now I wouldn't get on any birth control. I'm getting older and already having issues fertility wise.
Millions of people have been using contraceptives that aren't 100% effective for awhile.

Well, that's an interesting question.
Even without all the other influencing factors like
a totally unbelievable government spokesperson,
and that person mandating for both men and women!

Ummm... there IS injectable birth control. Genius. It is extremely effective.

We have been using treatments that are not 100% effective since we first attempted to treat disease.

I used to take pills and there's no way I would have had sex without a condom anyway. 😂 They're not 100%

You know there is no 100%effective contraceptive.

But people still use them.

No form in birth control is 100% effective so if you don’t want to get pregnant then use more than one form to prevent it.
