It’s about to start here, sleet and winter mix today and heavy snow for up to 2 days. Bitter cold, forecast to stay below freezing for a week.
@cherokeepatti stay warm and keep safe Patti!

@Unefilletrescurieuse Thank you, I will if the power stays on. I have a fireplace that can use natural gas or wood if the electric goes off. Shouldn’t stay off for long because my neighbor across the street is on the same circuit as our house and she has to use a C-Pap machine. It is registered with the electric company and this street has a high priority for repairs.
@cherokeepatti The news about this gets scarier all the time. I just read that Oklahoma City was going to get hit 9 out of 10. We are going to get creamed too. Charlotte, Raleigh and Durham are a 9 out of 10 as well. Tupelo Miss. is a 10 out of 10. 😮
They are calling this a monster storm. 😞

@Unefilletrescurieuse They are giving a lower chance for power outages where I live but then again how do they know that? I saw a blog in Alaska where they were have -60F. There.
@cherokeepatti I can’t even imagine… I’d surely die in -60F. 😮

@Unefilletrescurieuse that family had a gas stove and had run out of fuel. I can’t even imagine why they didn’t stay on top of it. They had some wood burning in a fireplace to heat their rather large home. If I was going to build a home in Alaska like they did I’d have a chimney and a wood-burning stove inside of it or maybe two stoves in different areas of the home. With something to circulate the air. Fortunately they found someone with fuel in his truck and he delivered enough to get them through that extreme cold spell.
@cherokeepatti oh wow… nothing like the heat of a wood heater… 🙂
