Christmas extended

My 6 year old niece was devastated this week when her daddy unfairly took advantage of her return to school to take down their Christmas tree 😥

Our tree is still up (albeit with all decorations but the lights removed). It is a beautiful tree that provides illumination and cheer during one of the dreariest months of the year for just a few pence a day. I intend it to remain in place until at least February.

My little niece is coming to lunch today as a consolation. My daughter got up specially early this morning to bake some mincepies 🎄
