I read this article about that woman who lived almost two years on a tree, trying to save it and the forest around it. I got so inspired by her, that could've been me in another lifetime... I'd love to live on a tree for a couple of years 😊 I cannot recall her name now and yes she was getting down sometimes and their supporters were bringing her food and other activists were helping to sustain her and she was taking showers in the rain.. she'd built a little treehouse..
She was a tree hugger. She was a good one. I would like to live in a tree house. My dogs would have to adapt. They have great ones on the internet. Look up "tree houses". Be safe. Have fun.
I own a hard woods forestry farm in Ohio, USA and the idea of a tree house home has tickled my brain for quite a while. I also believe the rain forest need preserved for the planet's future as well. My farm is sustainable forestry and I replant and manage it with ecology and wildlife in mind.
@elafina I have been building my own dream home here and once that is done, I will think harder about the tree house home. I watch the TV program of Tree House Masters; they build people tree house cabins in live trees to keep the tree alive and thriving. Very cool concepts.
Locally there have been people who did this out of protest. One lived on a ladder. Built a shelter. You could see it from the main road. Another was a group of people who protested against trees from an ancient wood being taken down for a bus shelter.
