My husband has problems.

We think our house got scoped for a potential burglary in the near future. When I told him he got all giggly and excited and started hiding cricket bats, baseball bats and other potential weapons around the house.

He said it’s like “they consent to getting an absolute kicking” once they enter the house uninvited.

Can I stay with you for a bit…

@Captain Actually I looked this up and you legally can use proportionate force if threatened. And who’s going to know otherwise….😆

@Morvoren if you put up barbed wire and someone injures themselves trying to get over y9our fence to steal from you- you are liable - so ...

@Captain Barbed wire? I was going to be sympathetic to your view but then you expect me to believe you surround your house in barbed wire.

@Morvoren Well we've got no guns but lots of poor people..

@Captain Don’t worry. If we did have access to guns, I promise you the poor people would have them first…

@Morvoren Actually they run around with carving knives so...

@Captain And toffs come on horse back half drunk and convinced their allowed on private land.

@Morvoren Not had that one but certainkly fox hunters or exmplae now have to obey certain restrictions. What I do know is we now have the "right to roam" so toffs have to provide paths wor walkers to wlak through their countryside. So as the great unwashed we have the right to roam.

@Captain The paths have always been there. Nobody who isn’t growing food or keeping cattle needs that much land. Curbing greed and excess is always a good thing.

@Morvoren Yes and even the MOD open up their land to walkers sometimes in some places but you have to be carefulo of the metal objects lying around. The thing ig toffs on horseback cant stop us using these paths. We've bene on paths that were gorssly overgrown that they were almost impassable and even that is technically illegal becas=use the toffs (who tend to be on quad bikes these days) have to keep them serviceable by law.
