Close windows and blinds to keep the hot air out. Avoid being in the house when it inevitably gets warm in spite of all this! Go out, go for a swim or even for a cycle ride. just don't stay in the house. Plus, supermarkets and cafes are usually nice and cool. Get back when the outside air is cooler than inside the house, open the windows and put the fan on. Repeat the next day...and the next...
Yesterday I had a cold lunch (quinoa-veggie salad and unheated leftover white bean & potato soup) and a few glasses of cold drinks…and of course air conditioning. And last night cold soup again and a leafy salad. Am thinking we need to eat more cold meals. My electric bill is way too high this month.
I have been wearing short sleeve Hawaiian print shirts with cargo shorts and hiking boots – looks pretty darn cool if I do say so my self. Cheers and happy weekend!
@CrazyMusicLover it is often over 90F now with humidity in the 90% range as well. Inernynout one night on one of our balconies naked to see if it helped, it did not. I came back inside the ac 😭
