caesar7 · 61-69, M
@Jeephikelove Set them free!!!! Who cares what others think..

Some of us were around in 1976...didn’t rain for months,grass and forest
fires were frequent( one burned on the mountain behind me for weeks),we had standpumps on the streets to supply water and it was incredibly hot.
No warnings,no trains cancelled,we just got on with it!
@whowasthatmaskedman here going weeks without rain is very unusual Not seen much since early March.
Barny52 · 56-60, M
@TheSirfurryanimalWales 76 was a hot one and I think we had a bad winter right after
@Barny52 we did.
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
Temperatures around my neck of the woods a couple of years ago. You guys have nothing to complain about.

KiwiBird · 36-40, F
@whowasthatmaskedman It was. Cooked my bloody tomatoes on the vine.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@KiwiBird I wont try anything thin skinned at home any more. But Lemons limes, Mandarins and passionfruit grow like weeds in the backyard..😷
PatKirby · M
@KiwiBird
That's what we're getting around these parts exactly. We just stay inside where it's cool. How did you keep cool?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Welcome to a mild Australian summer... Now will you come and take your bloody winter back please???😷
Ceinwyn · 26-30, F
@whowasthatmaskedman It’s a deal.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
I think the NHS will shortly issue a public health warning against the dangers of wearing bras 😁
Entwistle · 56-60, M
If the temperatures reach what are predicted health experts are saying it will cause approx 10,000 extra deaths..over 4 days.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Roundandroundwego I hope by working with covid you aren't putting others at risk?
@Entwistle at night I clean empty buildings. But it's everyone for himself.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Roundandroundwego So you dont give a care for anyone else's health?
You have covid,do you interact with other people during the day?
Get a car and an air conditioner. Die like a winner -. Kill this ecosystem.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Roundandroundwego Have you seen the price of Petrol in Britain?? Its Cheaper to stay in 5 star hotel than run a car for the A/C..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman get a job -. Burn, baby, burn!
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Roundandroundwego I dont need one. Doing fine thanks..😷

@BluntSm0ker I might sell my boob sweat online. I bet there’s a niche market for it.
Glassysky · 22-25, M

Sjones13 · 41-45, M
I’m in Texas so we’re used to it here. Hopefully you all will stay safe in the heat
Ceinwyn · 26-30, F

Sjones13 · 41-45, M

@SW-User perhaps you come from another part of the world, perhaps I’ll prepared for our winters, our snows and the floods.
SW-User
@Ceinwyn It's never snowed here but we have had a flood recent in the area. Not here it's to high.

Biggest problem is all the wild animals in the surf of a morning

@SW-User There you have it. We are a winter people new to grass fires. I guess it’s the way the world is going.
So what. Welcome to Dallas.

We manage. You don't think it gets cold here? On Feb 16 2021 it reached 2ºF which is -17ºC

When a cold front comes through you can lose 20-30º in an afternoon. Go to work in shorts and need to come home in a jacket.
PatKirby · M
@Ceinwyn

Was 113°F Monday here in south TX but we expected that. It's going to be hotter in coming weeks. It's cooler at work right now at 90°F inside where the air condition doesn't work but we have fans.

Went through sub freezing temperatures when I lived in San Francisco, Dallas, and St. Louis but it's not about temperature wars, it's about making an adjustment. You'll eventually get used to it, your body will adjust. You can do it! 😜 Besides, sweaty gals are definitely hot stuff if you know what I mean. 😂
PatKirby · M
@aboveaverageaveragejoe

I remember those daze in Irving, Richardson and Plano. Especially when the pipes froze, had to heat them with a hair dryer to work. But I managed.

This is not to mention the tornadoes and flooding. The tornado sirens are something else.
