I love a steamy, stormy day. Overcast and gray. Hazy tree tops. It's dark in the house.

I love the sun, don't get me wrong. But part of me enjoys the repose in the absence of it's energy.

Especially here in the trees. Everything rests and awaits the storms. Succumbing to the winds and much needed rains.

And all I wish is to oblige nature, staying inside and sitting by the window with a book. Sipping tea and listening to the thunder, wind through the leaves and rain. It calms my sleepy, drained spirit.

Thanks to the Earth, mother of all that I know.

I'm all about the stormy, where you can just feel the approaching stormy "energy" . The calm before the storm and you feel 10 degrees cooler air start to come in, from the cold front making it's way to you.
I will always remember one dusk evening, such a moment happened and it became a "snapshot" in time.
Going to be 48, soon and alot of thoses are starting to fade, but that one I think will always remain.
But you can keep your steamy sticky feels for yourself. 😉

Sounds like a perfect day. Love a day like that which I can have to myself. Might trigger a bit of inner reflection that I find a bit hard to face sometimes but I survive it. The relaxation and calm it gives me is worth it.

I can relate. A stormy day feels like a comfort blanket for me. Cosy indoors with a hot chocolate curled up on the sofa.

my preference is a snowy day with a fire (preferably in the fireplace or stove)

but a rainy day on a porch or a Florida room watching the rain is very nice.

We got some rain yesterday after two weeks of drought and really hot and dry weather. Finally! Yaa..

I wonder when we'll get that here. It's been nothing but heat. Dry heat. The stillness in the trees is telling.
