Burning man π₯ )β( π₯ more like raining man π§οΈ )β( π§οΈ
This year would have been my tenth year anniversary of attending burning man. But I passed on the opportunity. So glad I did!! There are 70,000 people stranded on the playa right now because of major flooding. And more rain is in the forecast. It has been declared a state of emergency. Theyβre telling people to shelter in place. To conserve food and water because they donβt know when theyβll be able to let people leave. You canβt drive or bike in that. You will literally sink and be caked in mud. Like the car or the shoe in the pictures below. Heard someone died during all the chaos. I know a few people out there stuck. I tried to contact them to see if theyβre ok but havenβt heard back. Service out there is very spotty. I really hope the weather clears up asap so people can leave safely. Otherwise I donβt know what theyβre supposed to do? Call the national guard or something to try and rescue people. What a crazy mess!!

Actually only 60,000. Only the newbies are panicking This is my 16th 11 of them on staff Veteran burners are taking it in stride Is it hard ? Yes The vehicles is he stuck in the mud? They are the ones who panicked and violated they do not drive order. They will also therefore be the last to get towed out. What I do allows me to see and hear many things. Those who are panicking and trying to drive out through the mud and goo, Frankly pretty funny Veteran burners know how to do this it is the new ones, and the lightweight tourists. They are having a hard time. Things are not nearly as bad as the news is saying. That said, we are going to be out here longer than normal. There is going to be a great deal more work to do
