I been seeing videos of people selling grocery stores out before the snow storm hit. I don't get why people do this at all. Do u really need to do that to survive 3 or 4 day's. The roads here are pretty much cleared now.
I don't get the panic buying either. Sure, I can see filling the gas tank on the car in case there's a huge power outage, but beyond that it's pointless. I would certainly hope everyone keeps a week's worth of groceries on hand anyway (at least!).
I live in Tennessee. southeast of where the ice storm hit. we got rain a bit of snow. but it was the same hear. Walmart. Kroger. sold out. First day. milk bread. eggs. gallon of milk lasts me two weeks. loaf of bread a week. quite a few overweight people live here.
It's the panic. One panics and then the rest panic because they're all afraid the first one to panic will buy everything. Maybe they'll make 24 sandwiches today from the 5 loaves of bread they had to buy.
