Rutting season.
My dad used to tell me that deer can be absolutely crazy during that time and its best not to be caught anywhere in sight of them.
This male and his scruffing around in the dirt is how they act when they are rutting.
Its best not to stand around and take pictures.

He's lucky it didn't trample him, very lucky escape.
I was chased by a bull a few years ago and was lucky enough to be near enough to the edge of the field to escape, we stand no chance against these beasts.

Can we adopt him as our mascot. There are soooooooooooooo many here who need to be jettisoned just like that
