The Cicadas Are Buzzing So Loud That Even The Air Conditioner’s Constant Running Is Not Drowning Out The Noise…

I wonder what happened to the Mississippi kites. They always fly around listening for cicadas so they can catch them and feed them to their babies. I haven’t seen any kites around here this season.

I grew up listening to them in summertime. I hear they visit every 15 years, but around here it's really only 3 years or so.

@PatKirby We have a type of cicada that is here every summer. There are apparently different types of cicadas.
