@Sidewinder Seriously!? A "spike" is a young male deer, also known as a "buck", that has two single, non-forked horns growing out of his head. The single horns will "fork out" kind of like a tree limb forks out, when he gets older.

@Sidewinder No problem. The distal end of the horn, antler, comes to point. Thus the six point deer meaning his horns end in six points or tips. They shed these horns every year and grow new ones. The more points a buck is a fair indication of its age although that is not direct correlation.
