Monumental Garden Court

It is one of my favorite places. And they have a lot more models of DC buildings and monuments, including the Botanic Garden itself. I looked at the model, and at the shape of the glass roof, then looked up at the same roof!

It was warm in the jungle exhibit. I had to remove my jacket! The desert exhibit was nice, too. I swear every time I visit it, the Golden Barrel cacti have gotten bigger! I love those guys!

Usually they have a room with model trains this time of year, with a long line of families waiting to see it. I never waited in line, so never saw it up close. But this year they put it all outside on a lawn, with no line! Sorry, I did not upload any of my photos to SW. I am not on my phone now.

I walked their rose garden and there was one lone pink-white rose flower, opening a little. In December! I stuck my nose in it and inhaled. It was pleasant.

Some is wood, like sticks and such. Some is bark, or nuts.

This placed is crowded. People are tripping over each other.

They have a huge model railroad display each winter. Usually it is inside, but this year it is outside. It draws a crowd!
