Any Vegetable Gardeners Here?

Im going to try and grow head lettuce this year. Iceberg and Romaine. Has anyone grown them before and have any insights?

get them in early, don't pluck them cut off the leaves and they'll regrow. once it gets hot they go to seed and are useless
