Anyone into gardening? Need some help

Updating the question....

I planted some flower seeds in big pots and trays. However some of them grew and died after some time.
I'm more of a cactus and succulent guys. This was the first time I planted flowers and some croutons.

@Royricky09 I haven't asked her yet, but I remember her telling me once that not all seeds will germinate, especially if they're seeds that you've collected yourself 😬
@Fishy they all were purchased from a good nursery

What's your issue?

@Royricky09 The green on top of the soil in the top pic looks like algae which happens when the the soil is too wet. Did the flowers bloom? Some plants die off or go dormant after a bloom. do you know the names of the flowers you planted?
@Dolimyte first one is Cowpea beans.
No algae. Soil was wet.
Flowers did bloom once before rest of them just died
Second one is croton

What did they appear to die from?
@caccoon not sure.... How to check?

@Royricky09 do they seem to have dried out, did they get sunburn?

Did they look weak and stringy?

Were there pests?

Did they rot and get over watered?

Maybe they were overcrowded and the smaller ones got outcompeted.

Maybe I am missing something but I feel like we need more info! 😊😊

@V00doo thanks... Updated the question
@Royricky09 Ive had issues this year too, but also we've had a crappy summer in London. It could be they were too wet. It could be the light wasnt right or the soil.
@V00doo they were half day in shade and half in sun.
Soil is same as other plants which are growing very well.
I'm not sure about the water, how much they need and how many times... Since it's summers here.
