Maybe next time

Checked my potatoe plant after dinner and 3 of the stems were yuk so I have to dig them out before they rotted they still have a while to grow so didn't expect much. These were grown indoors and not long ago I did a post about my cat getting to them and it looks like he's got his claws in and that's why they went rotten. This would of been an amazing harvest if they had gone full term what a shame will know better next time
So devastated but lesson learnt for sure I will do again definitely

so those spuds will never fully grow?
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@MiraRoss Just think, if you were a potato, what would you like?

@Matt85 moist dark place? I should keep out of the sunlight till the shoots come out?
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@MiraRoss Yes...And I hope any gardners who want to correct me, will, for your sake.

The secret to spuds really is every time you see the leaves appear for the first 6 weeks, keep piling more soil on top of them (or rake it up, if growing them in a garden).

Only problem is, nice loose soil is kind of heaven for cats so I'm not sure how one squares that!

Keep going though they were definitely on their way! :D 🥔

@Murmurs yes I will do that this time if they do sprout again.
He just loves to dig nothing detours him I'm gonna build something to put over the top of soil
Soil Looks a bit to dry ..
[@MiraRoss ] I’ve never known them grown in pots . Just potatoe beds trenched between the beds to collect water

@Iknowyourouttheresomewhere I had them in a grow bag near the window
