It might have been more effective if the cartoonist showed he actually knows how to light such a fire in reality!

Allegedly trying to ignite farts at source used to be a jolly jape in the old-fashioned, boys-only, English public-schools... but whether true or legend I have no idea!

There are plenty of you tube videos showing the lighting of farts so that myth has been proven, how is that for being literal.

@ArishMell I am not quite sure what you mean about an unlikely place to be mentioned. Everything is mentioned here and on YouTube if you seek it out. Your statement is confusing to me.
