As I look northwards from home

There is a whole lot of black smoke rising into the air.
A long way from where I am, looks to be around Gnangara?
Less than 20kms from me. Not a lot of wind today so maybe the fire will be bought under control rapidly.
I am in no danger.

I just now found out that Outback Splash, where my adopted Koala daughter, Tahli, lives,
situated in Bullsbrook, the park was surrounded by wildfire.
Luckily, with little wind, firefighters had the fire under control within 2 hours.
I am sure Tahli would have been frightened beyond my imagination.

According to our Met Office your heat is with you for some time as is the extremely cold air over North America. It all balances out across the globe, which is of little comfort to those suffering. We have severe flooding in several parts of the UK.

@KiwiBird I am 8km from the city centre. No chance of me ever being threatened by a bush fire. No bush around me.
