He knew what would happen, so apparently that's what he wanted. Some people can't walk away from their jobs, they literally give the company an obvious reason to let them go. Had a guy at work do that. He was a nice guy, but got bogged down by personal issues and wasn't happy with work anymore. He ended up being over an hour late the day after a holiday and then submitted a time sheet stating he was on time so he wouldn't lose his holiday pay. He was terminated for stealing time from the company and falsifying a document. I don't know why some people can't walk away from their jobs. I've walked away from plenty of jobs, including "really good" jobs, that weren't as good as everyone claimed. I do get the joke though, but guns in the workplace, even toys, are a no go these days.
