Now, the giant blue ox named Babe I can get behind. But that guy is totally made up and apparently skips arm and leg day. I mean how would he have done all that work to the northern midwest without a giant shovel or axe. Which we all know doesn't or could not exist. Would need a giant forge of some kind and a large supply of iron ore. Which yeah I guess they could have some of that laying around.
Like at this place me and the fam checked out one summer. Yeah pretty darn empty. Good Luck getting anything outta that one dere. Any who, I yammered long enough and the longer I keep going, the more midwestern I sound. Ooooo it's nice outside. 😉
I have been to that mine with my kids in the early 2000's. It is definitely cold down in the mine.
They had plenty or Iron Ore to make the shovel and ax for Paul for sure. And Forges burned on coal and wood, so they had the fuel for it. Now you have me on the size of the forge though.
But what always got me was how big Paul was you know he had to have serious Blue Balls unless Babe was a female Ox! Maybe that is why Babe was Blue! Ha.
@HumanEarth that's one place I've never been around a lot of. The Fox River area. Yeah never been to Appleton. Never had a need to drive through it. Going anywhere growing up, was straight to Madison or Green Bay.
