Has anyone grown pumpkins before

I've tried butternut squash and had no luck, so giving pumpkins a try this year. They should look like these if they do mature.

Good luck. I have tried in the past, and learned they need plenty of water like watermelons and both need well-draining beddings areas, or the pumpkin/watermelon itself rots before ripening.

@WillaKissing i try something different each year, as I have space. The soul surrounding the root areas is dry clay, so that should work

@meggie As the pumpkins blossom and then grow make sure they are not in sitting water.
