I'm finding myself increasingly attracted to gem stones. Why is that?

I do like seeing a beautifully-cut emerald or ruby, mounted or not. I don't appreciate seeing men wearing bling, though. I feel conspicuous, myself, wearing abundant adornments clasping or dangling, but laid out on my dresser they look great. I used to overdo silver-mounted turquoise. What looked right at home in the Southwest didn't so much in Pennsylvania. Too "dowager" for me now that I'm kicking and screaming to avoid being one.

Rocks are cool. I have a collection. It's ok to like gem stones.
I don't believe they have any kind of spiritual energy or anything like that either.

Yes I used to regularly add them to my collection, I finally picked up The Elfstones of Shanara and I knew I could never top that 😄 so haven't bought any since.

I decorate my house with rocks/gems from my travels. They're literally everywhere. I'm obsessed.

Stones are beautiful and fascinating. It's cool just looking at them and thinking our magical planet makes them.
