It's not easy being a dwarf planet

This is Haumea, one of five dwarf planets identified in our solar system. She is too small to have a proper global atmosphere, so gravity has pulled her into an egg shape. She spins so fast that her day lasts just 3.9 hours. And to cap it all, something collided with her and now she has a big red bruise on one side and a ring of ice and rock she just can't seem to shake off.

I would LOVE to do gymnastics on a planet with less gravity so this dwarf planet should do just fine! 😌😌😌

@MommyLucy Try gymnastics on our moon . . but not a good idea on this little planet 🙂

@SunshineGirl But I thought smaller planets have less gravity and bigger planets have more so wouldn't gymnastics be even more fun on this dwarf planet? 😭😭😭

@MommyLucy This planet is so small that she cannot maintain atmospheric pressure like the earth and she has been pulled in strange directions by gravity. Even you would find it difficult to hang on your bar!

@SunshineGirl I'm not the best at science but wouldn't being pulled in all directions be kind of fun almost like a ride in a theme park? 🤭🤭🤭 I like that gymnastics and roller coasters are scary and fun at the same time so this dwarf planet may feel like a constant roller coaster? 😱🙃🥳 If this dwarf planet is too dangerous we just need a witch to cast a spell to make the gravity stable! 😌😌😌 Sorry I am not good at understanding science! 😭😭😭
