Best to stay out of Sydney unless you are guest and the hosts drive you all over then.

That's why I'm glad I left the city. No tolls, but so many random one-way roads, weird turns, awkward turns, lanes that split without warning... 2 miles could take 40 minutes if you didn't get lucky.
