I have only seen the first two episodes of The Rings of Power and enjoyed it.

Besides, Tolkien tried for years to get people to read his stories about middle earth before The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings and no one was interested... Now they are.
@Thevy29 have you read LOTR?
It was written b4 tv and he takes pages n pages to describe every step Frodo takes..
Yes we get it.. Mordor is a horrible place.. moving on….

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I read The Hobbit and LOTR's before my 6th birthday and every couple of years since. The stories he wrote before was harder to find and was worse then the bible.
@Thevy29 The Silmarillion was more of a history of Middle Earth prior to The Hobbit or LOTR. There is little dialogue and character development. Methinks it was more an outline for another possible series of books that never happened and was put into order and published by his son. So yes, there is no real “narrative” in the “prequels” because the source material was more history than story.

@stratosranger I actually like the Silmarillion better than LOTR.
@Lila15 It was cool, kinda like a Biblical history that was written in another dimension
