New Picture to depict my neck of the woods

Two Black Swans on the Swan River Maylands.
Black Swans are native to Australia
They mate for life.
They are almost entirely black. The ends of their wings are white and can only be seen in flight.
The beak is red with the tip being paler in colour.

The Swan River is named because of the Black Swans.
Dutch explorer, Willem de Vlaming, ventured up the river as far as Perth in 1697, he noticed the large number of black swans there and named it the Swan River.

The Black Swan is vegetarian and the reason for the long neck is to reach their food source under water.
I love coming across Black Swans on the Swan River.
They are unafraid of humans and with care I can sit within meters of them.

They’re beautiful, we only have standard white swans here…they’re still cute though
