A room with a view...

Sometimes the simple things make you happy. Every time I stare out of this door and see the tree I feel happy 🙂

Seems to me that true jaw-dropping beauty is to be found mostly in the simplest things..

I had a spell of illness a while back and spent five years in a room with no windows. And the bathroom had none. However, on the way to the bathroom I could look down the stairs to a window in a landing about half-way down. There was room for a chair so I could sit there and look down and out (Har). My family planted a beautiful yellow rose on the spot of earth which I could see.

One of the blessings from that experience is hitherto unimagined joy at the beauty in simple things ---- like your post. (I'm pretty sure you will take that in the spirit in which it is meant.)

I am now fine. Well, I do sit in a chair while gardening in the tall planters my family put just outside the door of my new home.

THANK YOU so much for sharing the tree out your window.

@Nelladell thank you for sharing your story. So glad you are doing well now. Yes nature is therapeutic. These little joys lift us up when we need it the most 🙂

@Nelladell What a blast from the past! I remember you from EP, it's lovely to see you here, welcome to SW.

This used to be mine.
But I moved. Still, I check on it every spring.

Great! We have a huge live oak in our front yard, and I like to sit on the porch and watch the squirrels playing in it.

@exexec sounds really nice 🙂

I admired your sunrise view today, so I took this shot from my window...

It is, indeed, beautiful.
Captivating to the eyes for sure.

@Fertilization yes it is. It's a colonial era building, slightly dilapidated but utterly beautiful 🙂. Lots of trees around

Wonderful view. I wish I had such a one. My house is locked on all sides by houses, no sign of life, only dead walls. When I hear a bird outside, I realize there is life outside. I have to go out to see Nature. Claustrophobic. I manage with some indoor plants.
HakunaMatata · 51-55, M
@Lonelycloud well one has to make good with what one has. Indoor plants are good too! 🙂
Lonelycloud · 51-55, M
@HakunaMatata Yes in my limited space and sunlight, I have many plants
This is beautiful! You must live in a warm climate year round? Can you watch rain from this window? That would be beautiful as well😊
