Sales tax in Europe. Wow! I had no idea.
Average about 24% highest hungary at 27% lowest switzerland at 8%. And Americans complain about income tax. What The F. . . Ah!

Isn't it the same way in USA but they are only added later, so you never know how much you're going to pay beforehand?

@jehova I'd hate that. 🙈 Because even if I pay with a debit card and not cash, I want to have the idea of how much I'll pay. I guess it also explains the credit cards. In case people pay more than they have in their account.

@CrazyMusicLover its a state level VAT(4% at the state level) i just checked each county then has its own sales tax (almostvalways 4% also) in only 1 county is sales tax less than 4% at the county level (in Ontario County it is 3.5% county sales tax) and in 19 it is more than 8% (ranging from 8 and 1\8th to 8 and 7 8ths%). Generally its listed on the transaction receipt at time of purchase.

@CrazyMusicLover rather than bring business to underpreforming areas with lower tax rates. Instead taxes are higher in the areas thst preform best. VAT

@jehova but put sales tax is a one time added amount on the finished product. A VST is almost a compounded tax.
