@BluntSm0ker Racist and you've just admitted it and too cowardly to show yourself on here. I know, I know you have learning difficulties, well keep your shitty opinions to your self and nobody will have to haul you over the coals.

@BluntSm0ker That's interesting because I don't watch any TV but I think that gives us a clue to what you're likely to do...

Because the libs in Washington are trying to give it away.

Losing to whom though?
Other countries, or themselves?
It is a very rich country but with extremely large economic, political and social divisions and inequalities we see played out in microcosm in their spats on here.
More to the point, perhaps they fear being no longer Top Dog in the world.
The People's Republic of China has that aim, and is steadily working towards it; helped no end by having lulled "the West" into a sense of false security bolstered by the genuine "Western" wish not to be at continual loggerheads with everyone.
As a single-party state with a stable governmental continuum safe from elections or coups, she has the advantage lacked by the USA and other democracies (small 'd', for you readers over there!); of being able to make cohesive, coherent strategic plans a decade and more ahead. Her Presidents come and go by biology rather than any meaningful votes, and do not make much overall difference. Each so far (only three or four of them) has put his stamp on the details but of still the same system under the same Party. Democracies are subject to the vagaries of elections fought over policies and economics that reflect Party ideology.
China has another quality in her favour. Her leaders are very able administrators despite being out-and-out Party bureaucrats; but above all they have considerable patience. Combined with their system, China can plan far ahead, years of chipping away, undermining Britain, the EU, the USA; supporting tyrants when they suit her, bringing African and South American nations under her influence.
The USA does have equally bright administrators, and thought herself able to do that. She certainly succeeded in many ways for some post-WW2 decades as leader of the NATO Alliance; but she is no longer the international leader she thought she was then. Still very rich and powerful, but facing stiff competition and a lot of nations and cultures that despise Uncle Sam for their own reasons.
.
So if some Americans fear for their country, maybe it's that loss of world power they fear, not her internal squabbles, deep though they be. It might also explain the apparent, strong thread of isolationism in the USA, against international organisations and treaties outside of US-run NATO; sometimes expressed by the vague term "globalists" used to insult anyone wanting strong international links.
MAGA was only an election slogan, but in their hearts even many dreaming of it must have realised some of its means were more idealist than practical: realised that once a country has lost her major industries it is extremely hard or impossible to regain them.

@itsoeasy In one hand, Europeans accuse us of being warmongers, getting involved in conflicts that aren't any of our business; and on the other hand, they accuse us of being isolationists and not getting involved in conflicts that aren't any of our business... 🤔
Europeans sure do spend a lot of time begging for money and aid from people they claim to despise... 🤔

@itsoeasy Dude what? Britain has allowed the US and NATO take the lead here, are you really claiming Britain is leading the way regarding the proxy war in Ukraine?
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@SumKindaMunster the only time Britain "led the way" was at Dunkirk...lol
Theyitis · 36-40, M
In what way are we the richest country on earth? We’ve got a hell of a lot of poor people and not much of a middle class anymore.
Eternity · 26-30, M
Because the rational majority in the middle of our political spectrum has become disillusioned and sick to death of our system and so they largely do not participate.
That leaves only the moronic extremists on either end of our spectrum for the crooked politicians to appeal to for votes.
Easiest way to manipulate a fucking idiot is through fear and jealousy because that is something their small little minds can easily comprehend; even a reptile could understand such motivation.

Because they're all indoctrinated from a very young age.
See the irrational fear about having a proper healthcare system for example, you don't have too probe far to find people screaming in terror that it's 'Communist' and will 'bring our great country down'.
See the alpha-male micropenis insecurities which mean that ordinary American folk insist on bankrupting themselves putting fuel in ridiculous vehicles with 5litre plus engines, when the rest of the world gets by quite happily on something less than half that size.

@Philth actually, my 5.3 liter Chevy truck gets better mileage than my 3.0 liter Audi
our "5 liter plus engines" are far more reliable and dependable than anything European; they're mechanically simple to work on, and easy to source parts for.
I could do a complete rebuild on an LS for what a head costs for a VW/Audi

Western Europeans have a very biased view of America. We aren't afraid of "losing" our country, that's ridiculous.
People are afraid of changes being pushed by various political factions and some people choose to take that to the extreme and speculate the worst possible outcome.
It's weird that someone from the UK would question Americans obsession with themselves.
If we learned it from anybody, it was you guys.

It’s actually not with China buying up a lot and organizations like black rock destroying the idea of home ownership and well the DNC going after the constitution and shit.
Eternity · 26-30, M
@Ozuye502 it isnt china doing this, it is greedy people here at home being enabled by people who refuse to see the flaws in unfettered capitalism due to all the money being thrown at them to look the other way.
China is the scapegoat those people have assigned to take the blame off them.
When this country falls it will be from within; outside forces can only exacerbate what is already wrong here.

@Eternity China is influencing it a bit by exploiting certain areas like education there’s a vast network of early childhood education schools owned by Chinese “companies” now I am in no way against children being educated but the fact that they import labor into these schools and teach the children Manderin hmm something isn’t sitting right with me on that. Now I can not confirm or deny that they are pushing communist policies on them but they are definitely doing that in higher “education”.
As for the greed of corporate entities like Blackrock I’ll agree with that. And they should be shut down.
As far as the US falling it will be from within but I think the government will have a major hand in it and honestly if you look at who will benefit the most from it it will be the CCP.
