Why do Americans celebrate the fourth? My birthday is on the fifth of July, not the fourth.

Someone makes a day up in this imaginary world to make it seem real and make some people happy and think they are getting involved. Hey maybe even yo distract people from things that are being done, now and years ago..
Some even do not really KNOW what they are celebrating as they get told a certain story e.g. is to "celebrate" and "Independence" but both are not really true.. also are you really independent or did people give up their rights and freedom for a FUCKING COLD..
