Does it intimidate you when someone wants you but doesn't need you?

Personally, I'd feel special. And relaxed because I'm not really needed lol
You want smth bcs it is desirable
You need smth bcs you depend on it
The latter makes the other person more vulnerable whereas the former puts pressure on you to maintain that desirability

It doesn’t intimidate me, but long-term I want functional interdependent collaboration, not two independent people mostly living parallel. Younger me would get insecure/distressed by the unevenness. Older me wishes I could go back in time to reassure myself that there are lots of people out there who want what I wanted out of life and a connection without having to settle.

I think that's a more truer form of love that they love and want you but don't need you. At least you know they aren't trying to take advantage of you or use you or anything like that. It means they simply like your company or like you for you and not because of what you do for them.
Surprises me knowing your options.

Wants keep changing as per the trend n span; needs being basic stays. Hence, latter makes sense to me, at least.

It does, every time I meet someone new, the first thought to mind is what do they want from me?

Why would be intimidating? I’m confused. Lol.

@SailorMarz show me some respect, I'm now fully grown
i think that’s what my relationship is like from his end.. and knowing that frightens me more than relaxes me.
