I heard the news about his cancer some time ago and how things weren’t looking good for him. It’s sad to see that it ended up taking him. 😞 He was an amazing human being. From his devotion to his family to being out for the less fortunate by starting his own foundation, named after 3 Doors Down’s first album.

Even for those who didn’t know much about him, he’ll live on in his music. Not just with “Kryptonite,” but with other hits like “When I’m Gone,” “Here Without You,” “Be Like That,” and others.

Che riposi en pace 💐

@Ducky Ya he did an announcement in May he was already stage 4 when they found it. Cancelled the tour they were just about to start. So sad.

This one hurt. They came out right along the time my world got flipped upside down and shattered to peaces. Had a bad wreck and broke my back in 3 places. T12, L1, L2. Spent a week in a drug enduced coma. Then I went to surgery. Was there for 21 hours while they rebuilt my spine with A shit ton of Titanium. A week later went to a spinal cord rehabilitation center and spent 2 months learning how to use a wheelchair in everyday life because my shit wasn't working down there. After that I spent the next 2 years getting beat to the ground mentally, physically, emotionally, everyday working to get out of that chair and I was a very angry young man. I was 2 months shy of turning 20 years old when it happened. July 14th 2001 at 2:16 am Saturday morning. So yeah I was fucking pissed because every morning I woke up to see the world hadn't fucked off and set it self on fire yet. Took about 2 years and I finally Gumped my ass out of the chair and 3 Doors Down is what kept that last bean from snapping in my head during all of that. Every morning as soon as my eyes opened I would put my headphones on and "Kryptonite" would quieten my head while I had my first smoke and then the rest of the album would play. My mom and brother and grandparents all left me alone in the porch until it was done playing because that was my calm before the storm and still to this day if I wake up and shit feels off ill play that song first. So yeah Brad Arnold, Matt Roberts and Todd Harrell were my peace and quiet when my world was so loud.

@GnomeyGee okay wow I’m crying. I had not known anything about your story before. I can see Kryptonite being a song like that for you. Huge Hugs my friend
