what can I do to stop a neighbor from cranking loud rock music all night long every night for months?

one of my neighbors has been doing that, I have already talked to housing, I've called the cops when it gets too loud, and he does this the entire night all night long, I take stuff like Benadryl cause of allergies and sometimes that will put me to sleep,I've also noticed if I take nervexol at night I will sleep 5 or 6 hrs straight without waking up so I've been taking that, I've considered moving but I'm afraid if I move i'll get stuck with someone else doing the same thing, what's wrong with people that don't care and do whatever they want like that? I've also gotten sick like sore throats and I've had infections in my legs too, he's messing with my immune system, anyways to get someone to get him out of here?

I don't know. I wish I did. Looks like you're going to have to take measures your own self, since the law won't help. I think TheOneyouwerewarnedabout has a good idea about taking the fuses out of the box, but then if you got caught then the cops will be after you, when it's their fault. This is a terrible situation and you shouldn't have to move because of them, or do without sleep.

You might want to consider keeping a log of the noise disturbances, including dates, times, and the impact it's having on your health and well-being. This can be helpful when documenting the issue for authorities or housing officials.

Additionally, you might want to look into local noise ordinances and see if there are any specific laws or regulations that can help address the situation. Some cities have noise ordinances that specify quiet hours or decibel limits.

It's also worth exploring other resources in your building or community that might be able to provide support or assistance. Perhaps there's a mediator or conflict resolution service that could help facilitate a conversation between you and your neighbor. If you can afford free legal aid, I would contact them and see what they could do to resolve the problem. I would also contact the Mayor. Keep careful notes, specifically of dates and times you have reached out for help. Keep a log. You can use it later in many ways. But first try these things. Don't these people ever sleep????

My neighbor does that too, but I'm used to it. I don't think loud music affects me anymore.

Maybe ask them nicely?

Keep calling the police. If that doesn't work, record what he is doing with your phone a few nights and document the time and save the recordings.

Then find out how much it would cost for you to soundproof your home (walls and windows) and send him the bill in a certified letter, demanding the money or you will sue him for the amount. If he has any sense he is going to come and ask you what he can do to resolve it, suggest some nice Bose wireless headphones or pay the contractors. Doing nothing will get nothing done.
I don't think there is much you can do, unless their is a law that says they can't be overly loud after a certain time.

Like some areas say you can't be overly loud between 10 pm and 6 am etc.

Not sure if this is something you want to do but might be the only solution.
If your neighbour keeps disturbing you, you can sue and ask the court for money damages or order the neighbour to stop the noise ('abate the nuisance') in legal terms.

I had to hammer on my neighbour's door last summer at 6:30am, I'd finally had enough of their karaoke and listening to Tina bloody Turner's 'Simply the Best' (grrrrrrr) being mangled repeatedly. I politely asked them to keep the noise down, in other words shut the f*ck up, and everything went quiet.
I got up at 9am after about 2 hours sleep, immediately put a playlist on full blast and took the dog out for a couple of hours.
Revenge is sweet, I hope they enjoyed my music while trying to sleep off their drinks.
leave a note in their mail box asking them kindly to stop doing it...then if it persists egg their house

I find that ripping off a few 12 gauge rounds and yelling "turn off that damn noise" works pretty well against loud neighbors...🤔

Play your music even louder. 99% of people who blast music get offended if anyone else does it or plays a type they don't like.
Steal the fuses out the fuse box

Play him at his own game. When he presumably sleeps during daylight, crank up your stereo with classical music

O, god, are u still dealing with this, Pearl? Move out already!
Call the police, turn off his electricity at the meter box

do a letter box drop telling people he is a rock spider

Maybe they are doing it intentionally

Take a video that shows a time stamp and take both the police department and the neighbor to court
